28th June, 2009 - Brasília, Brazil
Applicants should note that a grant is limited, and that costs in excess of the grant will not be reimbursed.
Grants will be awarded based on the grant committee's assessment of the applicant's genuine financial need, the potential benefit to the applicant's education and research, and the potential benefit to the LSFA'09. Among those applicants who genuinely could not attend LSFA'09 without a grant, the evaluating committee gives priority to (co-)authors of accepted papers.
Applications should explain briefly (up to 2000
characters)
* the current status of the applicant
* the kind of participation of the applicant in LSFA'09
* estimate of costs
Applications should be sent by 1st June, 2009, by email to the members of the Grants Committee. Student's advisors should send a recommendation letter (up to 2000 characters) certifying the applicant's educational status, their financial needs, their work and how they will benefit from attending the workshop. The advisor's letter should be sent to the Grants Comittee (lsfa09@cic.unb.br) by the same deadline.
